Seagate Development Group LLC announced Theory Design LLC has secured contracts for the creation of interior designs for 12 new Seagate grand estate and single-family model residences either in development or already under construction in Quail West, Hill Tide Estates, Windward Isle, Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club, Esplanade Lake Club, and in a new community that will be announced in the coming weeks.

A Seagate Development Group company, Theory Design will also provide interior design services to third party luxury homebuilders as well as end-user clients. Interior designer Ruta Menaghlazi will serve as the new entity’s Vice President of Design. Menaghlazi has created and executed interiors for numerous grand estate models designed and built by Seagate. Her designs have been named recipient of numerous Sand Dollar Awards from the Collier Building Industry Association as well the Aurora Award on multiple occasions. Vice President of Design Operations Jenna Kowalczyk will be responsible for all aspects of new business development and day to day business operations.

“Our intention was to create a company that is forward-thinking when it comes to interior design,” said Seagate Development Group Partner James Nulf.  “The combined knowledge and experience of the management team immediately positions Theory Design to not only create on-trend designs, but, more importantly, to anticipate the direction the interior design industry is taking and to assume a leadership position in the development of future trends. As a result, Theory Design’s forward-thinking approach will bring tomorrow’s interior designs to homes that are being built today. At the same time, Theory Design will contribute to the creation of design consistency throughout the Seagate brand.  Our floor plans will continue to evolve in a way that is considered, thoughtful, and focused on providing the exceptional level of livability that today’s luxury homebuyers not only prefer, but also expect.”

“The name ‘Theory Design’ is based on the idea that there is a real theory behind every design,” said Kowalczyk.  “That theory is sourced in a design inspiration that can literally come from a variety of places – the colors and shapes presented in a piece of art, the patterns, colors and textures found in a fabric selection, natural elements such as wood, stone, metals, the water, the way sunlight and shadows shift throughout the day, or the color or shape of a particular flower or tree to name several.  Interior design is an art form and interior designers, like other artists, see things differently than most people.  Their unique vision, their openness to being inspired, and their willingness to ask, ‘What if?,’ provide the theoretical foundation for the designs they ultimately create and execute.  So, the name Theory Design encompasses that high-level thought process on which forward-thinking interior design depends.  It acknowledges the highly unique genesis of each design concept and the designer’s commitment to carrying it through the entire project.”
