02 Mar Theory Design selects furnishings for Cayman II model at Windward Isle
Theory Design announced Vice President of Design Ruta Menaghlazi has completed her furniture selections for Seagate Development Group’s furnished Cayman II model at the Windward Isle community in North Naples. Windward Isle is a gated enclave of 28 single-family luxury homes being developed by Seagate just south of Orange Blossom Drive on Airport-Pulling Road. The Cayman II model that will be completed in April was designed by Weber Design Group. The plan offers 4,102 square feet, including 2,685 square feet of air-conditioned living space, a covered lanai measuring 582 square feet, a 207 square foot covered entry, and a 628 square foot two-car garage. The single-story residence features a spacious great room, dining area, and island kitchen, three bedrooms, three full baths, and a study. The covered lanai will offer a comfortable outdoor gathering space complete with a fireplace and an outdoor kitchen.
Menaghlazi has created a clean-line, casual coastal interior design for the Cayman II that will be both casual and classic. The design is focused on evoking a comfortable, breezy comfortable feeling that will compel the end-user to embrace their surroundings and to genuinely feel at home. As planned, the interior will feature a color palette with soft white walls and warm blue, warm grey, and soft white accents with pops of gold. The flooring will be light-toned Legno Bastone hardwood. The great room and the study will feature coffered ceilings with tongue-in-groove details that will be painted white.
Visitors to the Cayman II will be greeted in a foyer showcasing a beautiful two-step tray ceiling with trim molding details and a weathered oak and antique forged iron globe-shaped chandelier. A pair of consoles with angular lines will feature a reclaimed washed oak finish. Menaghlazi will accessorize the light-filled foyer with large shells.
The study will be situated immediately adjacent to the foyer and finished in a grey tone. The furnishings will be presented in a combination of iron and wood. A dark wooden desk will feature a glass top and an angular silhouette and be accompanied by open shelved bookcases. The desk chair will have a roped back in a dark finish with angular lines. Other features will include a pendant lighting fixture with a mid-century modern feeling, a beautiful multi-toned rug in blues and greys, and a water color art piece in shades of grey.
The great room will present dark iron accents that will convey a note of sturdiness. The feature wall will include an espresso-toned media chest with an intricate geometric pattern that will be flanked by colorful art pieces. Additional furnishings will include a clean-lined sofa in light cream and grey, a pair of lounge chairs with woven wicker frames and fabric featuring pops of navy blue mixed with a light striae grey tone, rustic washed wood side tables with a modern angular shape, and a large square cocktail table done in forged iron and glass. The grouping will be anchored by a hand-knotted grey and white area rug. A dry bar will include an attractive base cabinet with an under counter wine refrigerator.
Menaghlazi has selected white Shaker style cabinetry and a grey quartz counter surface for the kitchen’s perimeter. Cabinets with glass fronts will flank the vent hood. The backsplash will be fashioned from glass tiles. The island will feature a dark grey base and a granite countertop done in greys, creams, and whites. An oversized silver pendant lighting fixture will be suspended over the island. Grey and white washed wood counter stools will include woven backs and neutral-toned cushions. The stainless-steel appliance package will feature a French door refrigerator, a built-in oven and microwave combination, a gas cooktop, and a Bosch dishwasher. The adjacent dining area will include a rectangular dining table with a weathered wood top and an angular shaped base. Eight clean-lined straight back chairs will be finished in light grey washed oak and a darker grey linen fabric. An eight-light chandelier suspended over the table will feature elongated sconces.
The master bedroom will feature sliding glass doors leading to a covered loggia, a two-step tray ceiling, and double walk-in closets with built-ins from California Closets. The bed will be presented in light white and cream-colored linen detailed with dark iron trim. An open trim headboard will also feature creamy linen and iron trim across the top. The nightstands and dresser will be finished in a pickled oak tone with bronze trim and an interesting circular pattern etched into the wood. An area rug will offer a combination of navy blue and grey as will a bold water color art selection. The chandelier will feature six clean-lined lights with a chrome finish and white shades.
Separate vanities will be included in the master bathroom, each of which will feature English Ivey finished cabinetry, counter surfaces with a mix of granite and crystal in whites, blues, and greys that will convey a sense of movement, framed mirrors, Kohler fixtures, and a pair of sconce lighting fixtures. Soft white flooring and a free-standing tub will also be included. The frameless glass shower enclosure will feature dual shower heads, corner seats, soft white tiled walls, and a flat-white pebble tile floor. A glass and polished nickel chandelier will provide yet another design highlight.
The Cayman II’s outdoor kitchen will feature a grill, an under-counter refrigerator, and NatureKast weatherproof cabinetry. A large dining area will include a dining table with seating for eight. As planned, a comfortable conversation area will feature a sofa, two side chairs, a pair of end tables, and a rectangular cocktail table. The pool deck will be fashioned from a natural shell stone material with decorative glass tile accents.
