Jinx McDonald Interior Designs’ Minka McDonald, ASID, LEED, AP and design associate Janine Blume have created an interior that blends comfort with a sophisticated coastal design for Seagate Development Group LLC’s Sea Breeze I furnished model now under construction at Windward Isle, south of Orange Blossom Drive on Airport-Pulling Road in North Naples.

A gated enclave of 28 single-family luxury homes, Seagate’s offering at Windward Isle includes eight, one- and two-story open concept designs by Weber Design Group and RG Designs that showcase a coastal West Indies architectural style. Seagate will also build fully customized residences designed for construction on Windward Isle’s home sites.

Designed by Rich Guzman at RG Designs, the 3,074-square-foot under air Sea Breeze I floor plan includes a gallery hallway leading from the foyer to a great room, dining area, and gourmet kitchen with a vaulted ceiling, beamed ceiling details, and windows at the top of the walls. Pocketing sliders fully open the interior space to a covered lanai, a pool, and a pavered pool deck. An optional summer kitchen is available in the outdoor living area.

The plan features a study, three bedrooms, 3.5 baths plus an optional pool bath, and a three-car garage. The master suite includes two large walk-in closets and separate water closets. The Sea Breeze I model is expected to be completed by August and is priced at $1.649 million fully furnished.

A color scheme featuring neutral gray backgrounds with cool blues, bright and soft greens, and turquoise accents sets the tone for McDonald and Blume’s coastal design. Flooring throughout the living areas will be wide plank hardwood in a taupe tone.

Visitors will be greeted in a foyer and long gallery hallway with white tongue-and-groove ceiling details and a series of three glass lanterns with chrome accents. A custom designed skirted bench in a subtle blue and sea foam green geometric print fabric will introduce the home’s accent colors. A round mirror set in an open square chrome frame will be set above the bench and directly across from a photograph by a local photographer that provided the inspiration for the interior design.

The study will include wall treatments featuring a white chair rail with green and taupe grasscloth below and a Sherwood green painted surface above. A dark gray writing desk will include filing cabinets and a storage space with a louvered door. The desk chair will be finished in a textured fabric with a green, navy blue, and cream color palette. Behind the desk, two étagères in the same gray finish will accommodate accessories. A wall clock will be set above the étagères. A lounge chair in the corner of the room will feature a stylized print in greens and whites and a banana leaf toss pillow. A window seat will be finished with a seat cushion in a fabric that matches the desk chair.

The great room will present a long pocketing slider that opens to the outdoor living area. An entertainment console finished with a dark stained frame and white doors will be set on the feature wall and include sculptural glass pieces in subtle blue and turquoise coastal tones. Furnishings will include a sectional in a solid aqua woven fabric accented by pillows with a stylized aqua, apple green, and white print, two lounge chairs with java toned frames and subtle soft green fabric, a large white leather ottoman, a 76-inch long sofa console with a java finish, and two rectangular end tables flanking the sectional. The grouping will be anchored by a large area rug and a chandelier with a chrome finish and glass accents.

The dining area’s trestle-style dining table features a zinc metal top and will be surrounded by host and hostess chairs with a sweeping side arm and four side chairs. A linear drum shade chandelier with a chrome finish and glass accents will complete the look.

In the kitchen, the island’s base cabinet and perimeter cabinetry will be in white and play against quartz counter surfaces with a marble look that includes caramel, taupe, and gray tones. A subway tile backsplash will feature a subtle gray crackle finish. The island will be illuminated by a three-head textured glass pendant lighting fixture with a chrome finish. Four counter stools will have a white finish with a printed floral fabric.

The color scheme in the master bedroom will be soft and tranquil misty gray and blue/green. A headboard with clipped corners and an arched top will be accented with chrome nail heads and play against an ivory-toned grasscloth wallpaper. A soft chenille storage bench will be at the foot of the bed. Flanking the bed will be a pair of mirrored nightstands. On the opposite wall, a mirrored dresser will be flanked by two large mirrors. In the sitting area, a blue chaise will provide a place to relax.

In the master bath, the flooring will transition to a Calcutta style porcelain tile with gray veining that will complement the room’s conservative gray wall tones. A geometric honeycomb shaped floor inset will also be in the warm gray tone and will mimic a pop-up ceiling detail. The same pattern will be used on the shower floor and play against soft gray glazed tile walls. White cabinetry topped by soft gray quartz counters and a chrome chandelier with glass accents will contribute to the room’s ambiance.

A media console with a white finish will anchor the lanai’s conversation area that will include a teal sofa. The outdoor kitchen will feature silver birch cabinetry and a Dekton counter surface with gray veining. A rectangular white table will be surrounded by host and hostess swivel chairs with a striped green fabric and four side chairs with a white finish and the same fabric. A pool bath will feature a pebble floor in ivory, pewter and slate tones.

Seagate’s 4,118-square-foot, two-story Grenada model is also under construction at Windward Isle. The open-concept floor plan includes a great room, dining area, kitchen, a study with a walk-in closet, the master suite and a guest suite on the first floor. Two upstairs bedrooms and a game room offer an area for studying, entertaining, and watching television. One of the upstairs bedrooms has a covered outdoor balcony. The plan features 4.5 baths, a three-car garage, and an outdoor living area with a covered lanai and pool. The Grenada model is priced at $1.875 million fully furnished.
